The new coaches all get a pass from me on judging their ability to lead a program. Gus has had success at everywhere he's been at though so it's not a huge surprise that he was successful at auburn. I do think familiarity with the team helped him get to where he is faster than everyone else though.

Well he is winning with players that went 3-9 in 2012, so development doesn't seem to be an issue for him

He has set the bar considerably high...like seriously...they will be calling for his head if he loses 3 games next season

2014 away schedule is brutal:

Kansas State
Miss St
Ole Miss
UGA
Bama


Plus a visit from Spurrier next year.

Thats not an easy schedule by any means

It really isn't. And even number years used to be great schedule wise for us.
