Yeah I don't think replacing Texas and Oklahoma with UCF, BYU, Houston, and Cincinnati improves the profile of what was already barely a power conference. The new Big 12 has no path to the playoff.

I don’t disagree with this, but if Oklahoma deserved to make the playoff in the old Big XII, why would a one loss team in the new Big XII not deserve to?
It’s not like Oklahoma was playing itself, and Texas has been no better than UCF and Cincinnati recently.
