I do not think this is enough to ever convict someone in court, it is much too muddied for that. Take Schiano, if he did report that about Sandusky, to Bradley, he might rationalized that was enough. But I think most men would disagree.
Look--- all I can say is it is very strange that McQuery testified via deposition about a very bizarre act in a very specific setting and location and time. And then those acts were verified to have occurred by victims.
At the least, that lends enough to the deposition to give it thought when thinking about hiring the face of your program.

It was a deposition that it was mentioned and it wasn't even admissible in court.
A deposition is the sworn testimony of a witness taken before trial. The witness is placed under oath to tell the truth and lawyers for each party may ask questions. The questions and answers are recorded. ... It need not be repeated if more than one deposition is read.

Why would your AD even have Schiano on the coaches to hire list. After reading his background he should have been crossed off the list. He may be a great coach and the charge that he didn't inform the police about the crimes going on at Penn St. may have been false, but that is baggage that he would have brought to the Vols. And they don't need that. So if anyone is at fault its the AD. And anyone who says they would hire this guy is a LPS. No one in their right mind would want this man as the face of their Football program...
Bingo. Nailed it.
The issue isn't Schiano or Tennessee's fan base but their idiot AD. That guy needs to be run out of Knoxville on a rail.
Whatever happens, their program is cooked for the next few years...

Literally nothing? You're now confusing Mqueary and Bradley. Bradley allegedly, according to the kid who was being raped, saw them in the shower. Can the police not do anything about an eye witness account of a child rape? Is victim number 4 lying about Bradley seeing them in the shower?
No, it’s you confusing things this thread is the first I’ve heard a witness claims Bradley saw Sandusky raping him. That’s a separate issue. What I was responding to was Bradley telling McQueary Schiano told Bradley that he (Schiano) saw Sandusky raping a kid. In that scenario, Bradley telling cops Schiano told Bradley he saw something there is nothing the cops can do except talk to Schiano. So get off you off your self righteous high horse.

I think what you are referring to is the victim's testimony. Victim said Bradley saw them in shower and stayed around until they left. Victim did not say Bradley saw the rape, but lingered and the victim speculated Bradley was suspicious and that was why he stuck around.
I do not think the victims ever testified that other coaches saw the actual sex acts, but saw enough to be worried/suspicious.
Again this whole thing is a mess because it was covered up for decades. It makes it hard to know who was covering and knew, who had some idea but stayed quiet and who actively tried to suppress the information.
It would be hard for anyone to convict a lot of these people in court, but it would certainly be something to consider when you are making a hire.

Even being associated with that scandal in any way is a stain that never washes out, and that may not be fair, but that's the way it is.
And if had gone ahead and hired him, you'd be at the front of the lynch mob vilifying us for allowing him to coach with this in his background.

Schiano was a terrible hire, and maybe the Sandusky thing would have been used against Tenner in recruiting. But there are plenty of mainstream outlets that have said that the accusation is basically ridiculous.

Most of y'all didn't melt over anti-recruiting ammo. Y'all assassinated a man's character. If you did this because you truly believe he looked the other way, that's one thing, but a lot of y'all could care less whether he did or didn't. You just wanted any pretense to keep Schiano out of Knoxville.
Several years back, I was disgusted by Gators who were using rape accusations to justify a reason to get Jameis Winston out of FSU and ruin the rise of the Noles but who could have actually cared less about the young woman involved. I don't blame any Vol who genuinely believes that Schiano was involved being irate. But Vols who reached for this as a reason to justify what they actually wanted - stopping a horribly underwhelming coach from coming to Knoxville - I don't think are any better than those Florida fans back in 2013.

Really a lot of schools do terrible things to try to be great. It is the greed factor and I imagine almost every P5 school covers up things like rape for their student athletes. Casting stones about morals is foolish at best for college athletics.
LINK
Last year, Tennessee reached a $2.48 million settlement of a federal lawsuit brought by a group of women who sued the school for the way it handled their allegations of sexual assaults by student-athletes. The suit alleged that the school violated Title IX regulations and created a "hostile sexual environment" through a policy of indifference toward assaults by student-athletes.
All the more reason not to bring in folks with Pedo State taint.

Schiano was never named in the Freeh report. The Freeh report had about 400 names in it.

Remarks about AD have merit. Conluding that UT's program is cooked for the next few years over this is hyperbole.
