I agree with most posters here G-Mac is a decent QB he does not make too many mistakes.

They don't force him to make the tough throws, and teams are definitely not worried about him beating them deep. See: lack of down field passing.

However he fits our scheme well, and hopefully if a more talented freshman such as McCarron does not beat him out. I hope to see another season of decent QB play, and excellent ball control.

Tom Brady played with broken ribs for several games at the end of the season(allegedly, a-hole Belichick will never tell)and played well , McElroy couldn't play with 3 cracked ribs? If he's so "phenomenal" as the OP touts, shouldn't he be able to play through such an injury?

You're comparing a college quarterback to a 3-time winning Super Bowl QB who also happens to be a future Hall of Famer? Yeah...don't think that works.

JJ sucks as a QB - GMac serviceable to very solid to maybe even very good. Life must be nice in those purple tinted glasses...at least until the season starts and JJ still exhibits the same poor qualities he has the previous 2 years.

Jordan Jefferson = Marcus Randall. He may be a little better next year, but better doesn't mean "Good." Consider who's coaching him too. Jarrett Lee didn't show any improvement either under Crowton. Poor QB coaching combined with poor OL coaching combined with no running game combined with a QB that has shown weak intangibles = being MEDIOCRE, or as I like to call it, MEDICOKER.........

Well consider me and everyone else figured him to be the "weak link" I'd say he pretty damn well for himself. Got to give the guy his due.

BUT.... he hasn't lost a game he's started in since like the 2nd grade!

The young man is good and I was impressed for the most part in his talents and abilities this past season.

But you do realize; All things must past?

The style of football Saban plays, you dont realy need a great QB.

All he has to do is manage the game.
