Sadly, since Baker isn't 6'5" and a prototype, his pro career will depend more on which team he lands with. Baker's career will mirror JFF's if he goes to Cleveland. Baker could be dynamic in Dak's situation , though.

First of all, Sam is not a below average starter. His record may show that but he also played for a very bad Rams team, a beaten up and gutted offense eagles team and now the Vikings. He had 21 tds last year with basically nobody but a TE and literally no running game bc he had the lowest rated blocking in the league. He basically played one game this year and that was against the Saints and he had 3 Tds. Let’s not forget that he broke the record for highest completion %. Granted his passes were dink and dunk but that’s expected when you have little to work with and nobody blocking.

You’re very wrong if you think a healthy Bradford doesn’t win games. If he never gets hurt this season, they may well be undefeated.

Yes, he is. Suggesting he is a top 16 or so QB in the NFL is a hilariously bad homer take.

I strongly disagree. The Vikings have actual weapons this year. Sam would have had his best season by far. Unfortunately, we’ll never know. I think this year, Sam could have had a top 10 qb statistical season. Considering that Case Keenun is killing it right now, I think it’s safe to say Sam would have excelled this season.

Seriously? Per your links, Manziel's Freshman numbers vs SEC defenses were comparable to Baker's JR year vs Big12 defenses.

As a 5th year SR, Mayfield put up 200 more yards and 4 more TDs than a Sophomore Manziel.

Those numbers don't suggest that Baker is clearly a superior QB, imo. He's a helluva competitor. I don't want to sound like a Baker basher.

The key stats you should be looking at are YPA, TD/Int ratio and QB rating. If yardage was all that mattered, TT would have the best QB's every year. Johnny threw the ball 60 more times a year than Baker, of course he's going to have more yards.

We all know why the Sooner doesn't want to discuss Manziel's running ability.

OU was used to playing in BCS games. They weren't interested in playing an ex-Big 12 whipping boy. ATM had all the motivation.

I know that's a valid excuse because I've read it on this board quite a few times.
