I don't see why Georgia fans like the battle hymn of the republic so much, its the same song that was playing as half of your state was burned to the ground.
Because a.) none of us were around to see/hear that shite and neither were any of you, and b.) it goes really fricking well with a football/Larry Munson montage

"Flipfolder Band from Tigerland"
My first visit to TS with the MDB was in 2006. One of the LSU band members asked us what was it like to lose to Miss State, and a guy in my section just responded with "What's it like to march with flipfolders"
And Auburn at one time DID use flip folders. My best friend in HS was in the AUMB for four years. They did three shows a year and were allowed to use them for their second and third show.
I will say this about the MDB: few, if any schools can touch what we did in the stands. They kept count during the 2009 season. We played on average nearly 90 times per game. We played after nearly every play in the stands. It got annoying sometimes.

Texas ATm has a great band at halftime but they have nothing going on during the games....
I'll agree with that. My favorite song by the FTAB is Patton

My daughter is a music major at Arkansas and marches in the band. She was not in Oxford last Saturday.
It's a good thing, too. My husband and I winced in pain many times because they sounded so bad, and daughter called toward the end of the game to tell me she was glad I had heard the full band so I knew how they really sounded.
She's also in the Hog Wild band that plays home volleyball and basketball games. That group is great!

Didn't use'em 1981-85.
Word was they attracted pterodactyls.
