Gotta give it up to Stet. Dude was basically just an average high school QB.

Approximately 6000 3A football players in the State of Georgia. I wouldn’t say 2nd team All-State would be pretty average.

I don't really think he did all that much to win them the game. Alabama couldn't make plays in the redzone early in the game and allowed Georgia to just run and do draws on 1st down well into the 4th quarter.

Every time he's "choked" it has been because Alabama got up multiple scores in the 2nd half and they had to put the ball in his hands to make plays instead of being able to stick to the run. The 4th quarter "plays he made" in the pass game late were the easiest deep throws you could demand from a QB. Caught Alabama selling out on the run, had no safety help with receivers on backup corners. The one that was caught for a TD was more of a great play by the WR than anything he did...he was just in "throw it up because it is a free play" mode.

17/26 224 yards 2 TD. 0 INT RAT: 163.1

YOUNG. 35/57. 1 TD. 2 INT. RAT: 114.6

I can see who the choker was

Yeah, gotta agree, definitely not an avg. High school qb. I'm from the 912 and while he's definitely not what you'd expect to see starting at a major power 5 school he was kind of like a knock off version of johnny football at that level. His athletic running and scrambling ability really stood out at that level.

You think people who make all state teams are average for high school?

Bennett's performance is 100% a function of his defense playing excellent all game and his OL responding to a manhood check at halftime. Young's performance is 100% a function of his offense's depth not being able to sustain losses anymore and his OL being trash like they were all season.

Do you guys even know ball or just a bunch of ignorant homers?

Like we've seen Stet play against Alabama 3 motherfricking times and the only time he "did well" was the one time Georgia got consistency in the run game and a good performance from their defense. Every time he's been asked to keep a scoring pace with Alabama, he's choked.

Bennett’ s performance was a function of his offense and Bama’s defense.
Young’s performance was a function of his offense and Georgia’s defense.
For you uneducated in the game of football

BTW, you can stop with the injury BS. That’s something every team has and has to be able to adjust. Two of Georgia’s 3 offensive TD’s were scored by freshmen.
The pick Six was made by a freshman.

Oh okay, you said "I am an ignorant homer and I'm mad you aren't succ n' fucc-ing my team" in a lot more words.

I was complimentary of your team. I literally pointed out that the reason Georgia won was because of a great defensive performance and the OL responding to a manhood check. I simply take exception that Stetson Bennett did anything great in that game. He didn't. It was all function of everyone around him playing better.

That's okay...Greg McElroy """outplayed""" Tim Tebow once because everyone around him played better.

Nobody said he wasn't an avg. College qb. OP said avg. Highschool qb, which is simply not true. Overall his college performance does show he is an avg. College qb, but Monday night he played well enough to become a national champion

Well I guess opinions vary on Stetson. He was named the Offensive MVP of the game. I guess you weren’t asked for your vote?
