how many scholarship players have been at LSU for three years?

i’m asking because i don’t know, but i really dont think its plausible to compare 3 years in the NIL/portal era to three years in the past

things have changed since 2012

We are almost sure to have ..

1) The best O-line in this conference period
I would say ONE of the best
2) Kaleb fricking Jackson
Meh. Good player. Not end all be all.
3) WR depth out the arse
LSU always has a lot of receivers
4) A solid QB that has actually waited his turn patiently and developed.
Give you this one. Much better passer than Daniels. At the same time those broken play touchdowns aren’t gonna be happening.

5) Harold motherfricking Perkins
Good player. The conference is loaded with these.

The dude seems to disappear a lot when they need him.

I hear you, but can he put it together on year 1????

If TAMU beats Notre Dame, potential will turn into reality. And fast.

I think the schedule looks good for you all, but I don't think you'll get to Atlanta, unless:

1) you found a defense. this is possible, and sometimes a team just needs an extra year

2) qb plays at 70% of Daniels' level. that's a big ask

Without JD, I wonder how creative LSU will be. He was 40% of your rushing, and drafted wrs were 70% of receiving.

Yeah, but nobody saw JD, Nabers, or BTJ as top talents before 2024 and they did just fine.

LSU has no shortage of talent anywhere on offense.

Most of the posters here talking about the loss of JD5, Nabers, and BTJ would have told you those players weren't that great prior to last season.

Truth is, no one knows until the season starts.

4/5 on the O-line are 3rd years, and the center is a 2nd.

Nussmeier is a 4th year, our projected starters at WR are a 4th, 3rd, and 2nd year.

2 of our RB's have 2019 rings, the probable starter is a 2nd year.

Our starting TE is a 3rd year.

Defensive tackles are pretty new, but the DE's are returning 2nd year starters.

LB's are 3rd years.

Safeties and CB's are mostly veteran, 3rd and 4th year guys.

BTJ, in particular, was unknown. He quietly led the nation in TD's last season.

This is not going to go over well here and I'm not sure that we are a championship caliber team. I think we have a chance to be really good and I like the fact that our preseason expectations from the national pundits are not as high as they were last year. I think we go 9-3 or 10-2. We absolutely have to beat USC game 1 but I will believe it when I see it. I think we should win 2/3 against OM, Bama and OU considering all 3 are at home. I also think we will lose to one of Arky, A&M or UF on the road.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned losing Denbrock as OC yet. I typically wouldn't hinge a season or performance on a coordinator but he's been successful everywhere he's been.

I don't see how anyone could expect big things out of LSU until the defense proves itself.
