DVH is indeed a great coach. He consistently gets to Omaha. I just think 2018 was his moment and players failed. I can see him being Martin from FSU. Gets to Omaha a million times but never wins it. Regardless, glad he’s leading our program. Would rather get to Omaha with a chance than to not get there. With DVH, we have a chance.

Good series LSU. Yall kicked hawg butt with gusto. The only teams that can win a series from you would need to feed a steady dose of lefties. Your lineup just smashes righties.

DVH did it because it was very unlikely Arkansas had the pitching to take 2/3. So he put his best pitchers on game one to avoid getting swept.

Yeah we've lost about 10 innings of weekend pitching between Wiggins/Franks/Tygert. With those arms we would have had the depth to compete in games 2 & 3.
Unfortunately Tygert is the only one that may return this year.

Arkansas fans compare this year to the last few years where we were tops in the league in defense. This team is fielding below .980 where our previous 2-3 teams were fielding between .980 & .990 on a full season. So the .976 field pct. with the errors so far frustrates some.

That is the main problem. 3 weeks ago, the Friday starter was starting on Sundays and the reliever is our Friday starter. Due to injuries, Smith who was our Friday starter was moved to the pen in an attempt to get two appearances out of him a weekend.
Tygart should be back soon, who was our top reliever last season...Once that happens, we should be going back to Smith starting on Friday's and then Hollan getting the Sunday role back or starting on Saturday's.

Other than 1 inning Friday night and about 4 innings yesterday the series was neck and neck and dead even. Y’all got super hot for an inning and we got super hot for a few after y’all threw your best 2 pitchers Friday. That was difference
