I agree that Chavis called a great game. Rosen looked confused. Chavis was a great move for us. Mazzone is an improvement over Spav.

Overall, our our offense and defense are better than last year.

Dude has some pretty bad foot work, by that I mean their always going backwards. Drop, stop, plant and throw the damn ball. Also not going to outrun many DE around the corner in the SEC the way he did the other day and throwing while backing up is going equal a lot of ints.

Well we lost our starting DE mid way through first quarter and had to replace the RG to undisclosed reason. UCLA lost 4 of its offensive line members to the draft and one of which was our senior center so don't give shite or making excuses for your line when UCLA's was just in as bad a shape as yours.

Really I do not care a shite about Spav and what he would have done. I did not come here to troll but have a conversation about the ineptitude of Mazzone play calling. But hey knock yourselves out on the so called up grade over Spav. I guess our Bruin fans were lucky enough not to run into some of the Aggies trolls that I am seeing here.

Tell me, would you rather have your current OC or Mazzone?

It's not trolling for A&M fans to prefer Mazzone over Spav.

Just saying...

No troll intended by my remarks.

UCLA never looked like they had control of the game. They had two quick scores in the 4th quarter, due mainly to poor Mazzone play calling. Mazzone was not truly tested by UCLA's defense when compared to the defenses he will face in conference. Bama, LSU, Auburn, Arky, and even MSU all have better defenses than UCLA. If Mazzone has a brain fart against these teams in crunch time, like he did the other night, there will be no OT to fall back on. We will lose.

Mazzone is an upgrade over Spav, but not enough to overcome the teams we face. Sumlin is just not the guy and this will probably be his last season at Aggy.

Well it looks like the Aggies could go 5-7 this year. Maybe even 4-8 depending if Miss State can get an upset at Kyle Field, also how in the hell do the Aggies get 7 home games? never mind I see the two patsies that are on the schedule. See this is what a troll looks like. I bring up a good topic and I get trolled back on. Have a good season.

You speak the truth, bro.

We play two really bad teams at home and have an uphill battle. We're not that good. 5-7 or 4-8 is not only plausible, but likely. That UCLA lost to this Aggy team should be really concerning for UCLA fans, hostile environment or not.

I think Knight is going to get more comfortable with the scheme before Auburn. He could have scrambled a little more and he did in crunch time.

I also believe the return of Speedy Noil is going to really improve the WR position output.

Obsessed with Mazzone.

Dude, none of us thinks he is a genius either. We are just glad that he is at minimum, competent. We compare him to Spav because to understand where we are on Mazzone, you have to understand what we are coming from. You think Mazzone is the worst ever, but you have no idea. You have never had Spav.

Mazzone was on the winning sideline.

Your team got manhandled on both sides of the ball by a middle of the pack SEC team and your QB was put on his arse.
The game wasn't that close.

At least you got a consolation prize when your rival was embarrassed by another SEC team.

I was so pissed during this game. Not so much at the Oline, I knew they were going to struggle and they did. it was the horrible play calling by the OC, did nothing until the 4th Qtr to try and counter Aggie's defense. Went to the spread offense which he should be able to do while under center as well and using TE formations. Did not run a screen until the forth quarter. It was frustrating that he tried to use the RB to help with the blitzing vs call better plays to minimize the blitz.

Again Chavis called a brilliant game plan, Mora will not take the chains off our DC, keep it simple and do not blitz, granted we did pretty good defensively unil our starting left DE went out near the end of the 1 st qtr.

We get to play again next year look forward to meeting some Aggie fans.

I really didn't see much improvement over Spav. We still have absolutely no clue how to consume time off the clock with a good lead. Why oh why do we do pass, pass, run, punt when we have the lead? Run the fricking football.

Non-conference games do not dictate how the season goes.
I hope UCLA has a great season, helps our SOS.

He did screw that up.

However, Spav was unable to EVER chew clock. I saw Mazzone put together at least 2 excellent clock-chewing drives. That is a big improvement over Spav. He didn't do it when it was needed most, but he at least made it happen a couple of times, which Spav NEVER DID.

You mean tied 24 all, and UCLA receiver drops a TD pass on a crossing pattern with 40 seconds left in the game and it was not that close.

WHAT THE frick DO YOU THINK I HAVE BEEN SAYING. DAMN ARE MOST AGGIE FANS THIS THICK?

That is what this post was about. No way UCLA should have had the chance to win this game, except for Mazzone. Is this the wrong board to talk to knowledgeable Aggie fans? All I keep hearing back is he's better the Spav, I wish I would have watched more TAMU games last eyar to see how piss pour this guy was to think that Mazzone is a leg up. Granted Mazzone offense will put up stats, but he also disappears when you need him the most. Damn this hurts to much to even keep this conversation going.

I thought for sure we were screwed when your OC started using the TEs. That was a brilliant adjustment, but he needed to have an answer for when we started to counter the TE passing game. I honestly don't know how to counter that. Maybe bubble screens or sweep plays. I'm no football coach or guru.

Chavis has had his hands full fixing our defense. The D has been a busted water main against the run. I was surprised we were able to halfway stop it. I am more inclined to believe it was inexperience at the OL position for UCLA, rather than vast improvement in the front 7. It remains to be seen.
