A healthy dose of that could cut the rant population by at least half.

do not travel east of US 441 / 13th street unless heavily armed with bulletproof clothing!

Outback Steakhouse, it’s a local premium restaurant in the area.

Most of the Southeast has terrible dining that leans heavily on chain restaurants, but the college towns always have a few legit good restaurants and Gainesville is no exception.

That said, Outback actually is local but I'm not even sure Gainesville has one. I certainly never went when I went there.

Leo's was the spot when I was in school but they relocated. Satchel's is another classic for pizza, a bit away from campus.

Getting your car towed has been a time honored tradition of visiting fans to Gainesville.

This is any college town that isn't a big city.

Pomodoro is my mom's favorite restaurant. We take her there everytime I'm back in Gainesville.

You heard wrong. Continue to play in Jacksonville and give the state of Florida the windfall that comes with the weekend!

Staying at Universal/Disney. Not sure which one yet. Taking a kid or two

I’d stay at Universal at one of the tier 1 resorts that gives you the free express passes. Universal City Walk > than Disney Springs with the exception of Art Smith’s Homecoming restaurant. The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium at City Walk is a pretty neat place to eat if you’ve got kids with you.

Go to the Butterfly Rainforest on campus if the kids are little. There are also some other exhibits there (shark teeth, fossils, etc.)
