I am disappointed at the negativity of this series. It offers two passionate fan bases the chance to experiencing a big game that is a reasonable drive between the 2 schools. The Auburn fans that I visited with at the last 2 games have been incredible friendly and pleasant to fellowship with. With the SOS in OOC play weighing heavy for playoff consideration a game like this is needed for both schools...
The Smart-arse in me suggests to you haters of this series is because you don't want any more ACC loses on your schedule?...Wake Forest is always looking for a paycheck

I guess I see the Auburn point of view. Yal are the bigger national program so I guess there's less to gain, more to lose and you want to see other places. However, wanting to play Georgia Tech or Boston College is just wanting a cheap win. If you say you'd rather play FSU, ok, but don't bring up GT or BC.
If Clemson could get a series with LSU or Bama I'd prefer that, but I'd also take a bird in the hand with this series (or UGA) as opposed to risking a chance on someone else and getting stuck with Wofford.

That's how I'd play it too, but it isn't accurate.
We'll be friendly to you this time too, FWIW. But it's boring. We played for the title last year. We won it in 2010. It's not weird to think we don't get anything out of beating you, and it obviously isn't helpful to lose to you.
From your perspective, you're probably interested in trying to beat a prominent SEC team you've had success against recently. Your conference is boring as shite, so I don't blame you, and your rivalry hasn't been any fun lately.
But we're not going to be rivals, so I don't know why we'd want to play each other every year.

Maybe you just started following Clemson in 2011
But having played them in the 07 CFA bowl, reg season 2010, reg season 2011, kickoff in 2012, we are sick of not seeing other OOC games
I want west coast or big ten or VT
No one is afraid of you, we're just sick of unoriginal away games

We have a traditional rivalry with GT. Many of us live in Atlanta. I don't want to play GT every year, of course, but I'd rather play them in the upcoming OOC slate.

No one has a problem with the fans of clemson or the football team. The problem is we play too much, OOC games are a precious commodity and we're spending too much of it with you guys. It's not personal about your program. If we'd played Va Tech this many times recently you'd hear the same complaints.

If we can arrange to replace Arkansas or MSU with Clemson, I'd be more excited. But as it is, we're just using up OOC slots on you. Same reason I don't want to meet you or GT or Wisconsin in a bowl game, I've seen it before and want to branch out.
