Give bowls to 9 win teams and eliminate 50% of them.

Most 9 win P5 teams are ranked. The bowls would be watchable and would mean more.
Why would they mean more? Because preseason rankings matter whether we want to admit it or not, and they'll be fighting for that rank in a bowl.
LSU in particular has had some major help with high preseason rankings.

Agreed. Especially with the portal now. Most of these bowl games are glorified scrimmages. These aren't the same teams from a month ago.

I thought 8 wins too, but 9 was my attempt at making all of if not most of the bowls ranked matchups.

I think I’d be okay with this. The opt outs, transfer portal, and too many bowls make the whole product lacking.

I never understood why 500 are rewarded for literally being average. At the very least you should have to be over 500
