The fact that this is even debated as a penalty makes me weep for America. Never realized so many Dancing With the Stars fans watched last night's game.

Hitting Murray with the shoulder first or the head?

No.And given the violence of the hit, your question is sort of like asking if an assailant used a knife before he used his gun.

There is no debate. Both a clothesline and a high hit to the head are illegal. Neither were called.

Why are people have a hard time understanding this?

Does the helmet to helmet rule still apply in that situation? He didn't lead with his head, so...

It's over and nothing anyone can do about it but yeah, it was h2h. You see all the time where a defender goes to tackle a RB/WR and the ball carrier lowers their shoulder for impact, hits the already positioned defender in the head and the defender gets a flag. Every time.

I don't care how many times I see it or how many times someone tells me what he did was ok. That was a chicken shite hit and very dangerous in my opinion. There is no reason to hit someone like that when they clearly are not a factor in the play.

Chicken shite!!

I felt that Murray shouldn't have been running towards the play. That leaves you open to get blocked. And he got blocked.

Case closed.

Could have been called, but it would have been a bad call. That was a legit hit.

No different than any other hard block. Only difference was it was a QB that got hit.

So I was lucky enough to load this on my phone so it was in extra slow motion. And actually froze at the point of contact.

Lol at people saying he lead with his shoulder. Bama players can do no wrong.

Helmets made contact, plus a cowardly shot.

15 yards and eject the MF
