they just keep fricking up with Coaches. I think they got it right this time
Maybe they did, but it's not a safe assumption. They picked way wrong in 2002,2011, and 2015. Mullen doesn't strike fear in anyone, and he is awkward. Uf is at a long time low in talent level.

UT can not get any worse and JP has the potential to upgrade that program.
Potential? Yes, but it's gonna be quite the uphill climb. It's gonna be very easy to negative recruit against them.
I wouldn't expect either to be "better than average" any time soon.

They've had "serious" talent coming in for some time. You can get the talent but can you coach em up? Kirby's done a great job so far but we know Saban, Meyer and Dabo can coach em up but the verdict is still out on Kirby over the long haul. That's what we're waiting to see.

oh look, it's another one of "those".
No, we have not had this kind of talent coming in. Ever. Richt recruited a ~10th ranked class yearly, which was typically behind bama/uf/lsu in our own league. Kirby finished 3rd nationally last year and 1st this year. It is a black and white fact that we have never had as much talent in consecutive classes as we have under kirby.
Another overlooked fact is that despite richt's ~10th ranked classes, they were heavy on skill positions and woefully devoid on the LOS. Although I'd like some more talent at DT it's quite clear that our OL and DE recruiting has exploded, and that's where you win games.

UGA has had top 10 classes for the last decade and literally nothing to show for it.

and 0 top 3 classes.
Until the last 2 years...where we have 2. The difference between the 10th ranked class and 1st ranked class is extreme. For reference, the top class this year has six 5* and 301 points. The 10th ranked class has zero 5* and 250 points.
But nah, we've "always recruited like this"

That was a flukey season
Auburn was incredibly clutch that season.

The "maybe 3" is this year, yet I do not see it happening, unfortunately.

Good grief. They won't make the playoffs that many times. Georgia is still Georgia. They will find a way to underwhelm.
Tigahtildeath-----and how many times has LSU been in the playoffs?

Take away the fluke play, and AU likely doesnt have the magic to beat Bama. Turns a 12 win SEC title team into just another 9-3 team.

Smart has UGA on a great path, and I expect they'll likely win a title in the next 3-5 years. But let's not get carried away. Multiple titles (ie--a dynasty) don't come along often and Kirby has yet to prove he has what it takes to make it to the top and STAY at the top. A lot of coaches win a title and then buckle under the weight of expectations and pressure. The list is endless...Larry Coker, Les Miles, Gene Chizik, Mack Brown, etc. Doing what Saban has done and is continuing to do for the last decade is unprecedented. Don't look for it to happen again anytime soon.

1. What is Oklahoma showing the last 10 years?
2. Did you miss the part about us having a new coach?
3. We are recruiting vastly different players, and are getting higher rated classes.
4. When can we expect you guys to leave? Sooner, please? (SWIDT?)

We've got to get the first one before we start worrying about that kind of stuff. Let's not put the cart before the horse

These brakes need to be pumped hard. Uga was beaten down at Au a few weeks ago. They played in a pathetic eastern division.
They did beat a worn down auburn team that is incapable of winning outside of their home stadium. Let's wait and see how they do against Ou.

Kirby is not Les. I don't see him messing this up. He learned from the master and learned well

Auburn likely wasn't stopping uga with 1st and goal inside the one, which is how it would have been if the play was called correctly with a face mask penalty.
