It won't happen this year barring injury.

There is a good chance (50/50 or 40/60) that he beats out Fromm next season.

Fields isn't close right now. But the potential is there to escalate that high next season. We will have to see how fast he develops and adjusts to the game at this level with some experience.

Fromm has 15 games experience.
The last 2 games were overtime playoff games.
His first start was at Notre Dame. His last start was the national championship game.

Fields is way, way, way behind that right now. He is all potential. Give him some experience. And an opportunity to grow. We don't know how fast the game will come to him yet.

Serious question but did anyone see the pull from behind hold on the last TD? Looked pretty clear to me.... Not saying it would of changed the outcome but when you get pulled from behind that’s a hold.

I was watching some of it because, well, Football. Then I realized it was my team, losing at the end. Son of a B....

Didn't Richt frick that up in a loss to GT?

No idea but UGA did a excellent job capitalizing on that dumb decision by OU. Fromm's out pass could not have been any better

If they were worried about a kick return by UGA and didnt feel that their kicker could put it in the end zone, at least kick it Out of bounds and make UGA go 65 yards for a TD. Dont give it to them on your side of the field. Just dumb.

I really enjoyed that game and Im glad I didnt have a team in that fight.

I’m married to a UGA fan. That entire game was a roller coaster of emotion for me. I kept swinging from “Oh shite, I might have to play my wife for the National Championship and I might have to pay thousands for her to go” to “Oh shite, Baker Mayfied would slice up the Alabama defense.”

What can you tell me about Shane Beamer and his time at UGA or what to expect on special teams?

Our ST were better than they had been in quite awhile. We had not had a ST coach specifically, either, I don't think.

It's hard to say if we were better because we finally had a dedicated coach, the talent was better, or if it was specifically tied to Beamer.

I think it was a combination of "all of the above". We hated to lose Beamer, though.

Ive been reading throughout the summer. Just found an appropriate time to comment. God forbid a college football fan from another state chimes in on a college football conversation. We are all CFB fans, feel free to swing by Dirtburglars.com or TheFootballBrainiacs and join a conversation anytime.

Eh. Don't worry about them. before our game we had quite a few Oklahoma fans come on here. Several were pretty hard to take, so we have a bad taste in our mouth. However, a couple came back after the game and congratulated us and showed real class. I am willing to think you did just happen to come in here. they just look at a lot of Oklahoma newbies as some of the ones that were jerks and didn't want to come back and eat crow.

Sorry, how serious do you think his bid is for beating out fromm is? Is Fields really that good?

I don't think he will beat Fromm out this year. next year is going to be the one to watch. All indications say Fields is every bit as good as advertised.

You talking about Chubb's TD in regulation or Michel's TD in OT? I didn't see it.

There were a lot of missed calls on both sides, though. Typical. They tend to not make as many calls in a big game.

Still remember where I was sitting, what I was wearing and everything. Amazing night.

Yep. I went into the front yard and started yelling like a drunken fool (I was) And then I began shooting bottle rockets off in the neighborhood. Down the street, I could also hear people yelling and celebrating. Great night.

I was worried that Fromm would be called for holding on the perimeter, but I didn't see a pull-down-from-behind hold like you're talking about. I have the game DVR'd I'll have to look at that play more closely.

Great game. Really much more memorable(other than the last play) than the NCG. Very few times youll see a defense get beat up like that and answer the bell like that in the second half against one of the best offenses in the decade.
