Quality depth is required for a championship run.

Especially up front on both sides of the ball.

Big, strong, mean guys who can run.

Your O couldn’t score a td to effectively end the Florida game, and it couldn’t score enough to beat 3-2 aggies, so it’s got some issues. What is the bama excuse?

That guy should have been a 4 star, he was great coming out of high school. I thought we were gonna get him

His family has TN roots and he wanted to play there because he didn’t think he’d get offered by another SEC school. TN looked at him and passed. UGA’s gain.

Bama, October loss to an unranked a&m

Sounds a lot more like Georgia than Alabama, doesn't it?

Everyone has injuries, and UGA has recruited at an obscene level. Hell, A&M has had enough injuries to choke a horse this year, and is just now starting to overcome them. If Calzada goes down, A&M is down to third string QB. OL might actually be able to play more than one game together. DL is deep but injuries are taking a toll there as well. Playing true fish at CB due to injuries ... etc, etc.

I'd say UGA's youngsters may be better than the upperclassmen

All of UGAs returning leading receivers from 2020 have been banged up.
Leading receiver kearis jackson
George pickens
Jermaine burton
Darnell washington
Kenny mcintosh
Arian smith
Marcus Rosemy-JackSaint
2019 leading receiver Dom Blaylock is out as well.

Our starting QB has played just over 150 snaps (71 pass attempts).
Add in losing our starting right guard on the 4th snap of the season.

Defensively, we have been without first team all american tykee smith.
5 star DL Julian Rochester has been out.
CB Jalen Kimber had season ending surgery.
DT Devonte Wyatt and ILB Rian Davis missed last week.
And S Christopher Smith and LT Jamaree Salyer got knocked out during the game.

These are the type of injuries that derailed 2008 and 2013.

Washington looked back to 100% vs Auburn. I feel bad for Brock Bowers. If Monken can't get both those guys on the field a lot more, I see one transferring. They are both too good to sit on the bench, on any team in the country.

I dont know that washington is cutting like he was before. I do think his straight line is fine and his drive blocking is more than fine.

I dont see a transfer unless one of them doesnt jive with the new OC next year. They are different enough that they both can see the field at the same time.

Both will play too much to want to transfer and lose a bunch of games.

The defense lost 8/11 starters on D from the 2012 team. It was a true rebuild on D. The Offense was still pretty damn good.

Yep. The full strength O was certainly good enough to carry them to the sec title.

McConkey was like the 2000th ranked player. A 2 star essentially. He slightly hesitated accepting the UGA offer trying to parlay a Tenny one which was his dream school.

Most of these injuries were week to week but some reason they've extended weeks to weeks. When all healthy, UGA lowkey has one of the best receiving corps even w/o Gilbert. With him it's apparent.

You are more than half wrong. Pickens was easily the most productive receiver in 2019.

But anyways, Ratledge is the most impact loss out of everyone outside of Pickens and Daniels. He had a nasty demeanor to match his playing ability.
