They objectively are. But I think theres a good argument they aren't a great team.

And if they weren't the champs last year they wouldn't still be number 1. There is really no performance based metric to justify them at 1 currently over Texas, FSU, or even Ohio St.

Yeah they'll take a couple of losses this year, for sure.

UGA hands down has the most talent in the country. They don't have the key pieces that they've had the last two years. But they are certainly not a bad football team.

They don't need to be good to beat Texas.

A fricking muffed punt is the only reason we are not undefeated vs Georgia....

You could just as easily argue that half our team opting out of the last meeting is the reason we don't have more wins.

shite happened, oh well

“ But they are certainly not a bad football team.”

The lsu guy stepping away from his opossum stew long enough to concede that Ga is “not a bad football team”.

Priceless. That’s big of ya.

Yeah but South Carolina might be the toughest team they play this year, so there's that

We have 4 common opponents with Bama (KY, UT, OM, Auburn). South Carolina just beat one of your other SEC opponents, Miss State.

Are you saying SC would be one of Bamas top 4 toughest opponents?

So, if somebody isn't 50+ - 0 at anytime in a game, they're not a good football team?

Of course the OP is trolling.

As a UGA fan, here is my response. If playoff started next weekend, I would say UGA undeserving and probably would go out first round if they got in. Right now, today - they aren’t ready to compete at the highest level. New Quarterback, New OC and no Jalen Carter and slightly less dominant on defense - also just a ton of injuries. Best WR hasn’t played a down this season, RB room has been devastated with injuries, etc.

Not ready today.

Good news is they don’t have to be ready today. Just now getting into SEC play, schedule will be consistently decent most weeks now - AU, Ole Miss, UK, UF, Mizzou, TennRC.

I believe best coaching staff in country has the time they need to grow this team and hopefully get healthier.

It’s fair to say - “the jury is out” on how good UGA will be this year.

It’s stupid to say - “UGA not a good team.”

Dawgs could win it all. Will they? Who knows?
