They always have. UGA is known far and wide as the cheatingest school in the country, not just football either, and not just their athletic dwpartment, but the whole damn school is absolutely riddled with cheats

Nice article on the most corrupt athletic departments in the country. I don't see Georgia listed, but I see Auburn sitting at #3.

Here's another article, but good news! Auburn is only #4! Auburn only 4th most corrupt program in NCAA hitsory

The best was in 1991, when 60 Minutes aired recordings of head football coach Pat Dye arranging a loan for a player. That bought Auburn two-year bowl ban, one-year television-free, and the loss of 13 scholarships over a four-year period.

It will be short. I looked at several links and found Auburn...but for some reason I didn't see Georgia in any of them. Strange.

Exactly. 1991 was along time ago.

And they turned around decades later and named their field after him. No remorse, no judgement, no ill will towards the man at all. In fact, they embrace him 100%.

Yes, it was. Not sure of your point, since I was responding to an Auburn fan claiming Georgia was well known as the most corrupt program in the country. Seems he was wrong.

ETA
And you really don't want to go on to discuss the FBI at Auburn right now, do you? 2018 is looking more recent.

You know I don't go looking for fights. But if somebody starts saying dumb stuff about Georgia, I will jump in. Wouldn't you if somebody said something they could not possibly defend about Auburn?

You should've known better than to take that bait.

Don't mind taking a little bait as long as I can throw a little bait back in the water.

Vince Dooley came from Auburn, what’s your point?

Ole Miss was nowhere to be found on this list of dirtiest programs...fascinating, considering the tone of this message board for the last 3 years. However, i did see several SEC programs made that list, many of which were among the biggest proponents of the death penalty for the Rebels...the irony is delish

If you read the thread, you'll see it was a response to someone who led off with that exact point... we've now gone full circle...

That would be impossible! AU is in a league of their own. Nobody in the SEC comes close.

Wrong! After Ole Miss bought Laremy Tunsil in the 2013 class, I have to put them way ahead of AU.

He was responding to an Auburn guy who said what you just pointed out. He responded by saying Auburn's best coach came from Georgia.

In fairness, I think the article was before your latest dust up.

He’s not even the best player in Auburn history. He’s not even top 10 in SEC history.

Auburn bought Cam Newton, Pat Dye arranged loans, and they’ve taken numerous UGA rejects. They hired Bruce Pearl for f*cks sake. Auburn is a cesspool.

UGA has had a top 10 class every year since 2006 according to ESPN. UGA doesn’t have to cheat. The op should man up.

I wanted Bama to fire Grant and hire Pearl at the time.

Now when we see what kind of stuff went on in his program, right under his nose I'm fine with not hiring him. He's responsible for monitoring half a dozen coaches & two dozen players and he was oblivious to Persons scheme with the parents/agents/players?

Auburn hired him after knowing what a scum he was. That is who Auburn is. I won't even get started on the AD trying to offer the job to someone else while Tuberville still there, the softball scandal, or all of the Bobby Lowder BS.
