If you want hitch your wagon to this horse:

Mississippi St was last in SEC West.

South Carolina 2nd to last in the SEC East.

Missouri 3rd place in the SEC East at 5-5.

Cincinnati best win was at that time was 24 ranked Tulsa.

Not saying JT is not a stud but Georgia should handling beat those teams and have nice stats.

Cinncinati would have given Ohio State all they wanted. Team was made up of transfers from many big time schools.

They were a legit team last year.

Not saying I disagree with either of you but I never understand why people bring up the teams' overall record in a conversation like this.

What kind of pass defense each had is much more relevant.

I'm not stat guy but DiddlyDawg probably knows the best ranked pass defense of that group was Cincinnati at 39th.

Certain posters I will occasionally post stats for with links... certain ones I have higher standards for don't feel like I have to.

But for you Sidewalker

Yeah, but is Kirby gonna get out of the way?

Trailing 21 to 19 in the 4th with 3 minutes to go and Georgia facing a 4th and 3 from their 40-yard line and Daniels closing in on 400 yards passing, Kirby gives the war cry, "let's punt."

Asking Mr. Consevative to change his ways is to deem it reasonable for a leopard to change his spots. Regardless of who's playing QB.

The new OC changed Georgia's offensive approach quite a bit and they got a lot more pass happy.

The results didn't change much simply because they didn't have very good talent at the quarterback position most of the year, it will be interesting to see what kind of step forward they take now that it seems they have a capable quarterback.

Of course, the loss of Pickens hurts and it remains to be seen if Kirby will defer to the OC or meddle in important situations.

And when he gets aggressive and tries an unsuccessful fake punt, everyone makes fun of him for that. Whatever Kirby does, other fans will find fault in it.

I've never seen Kirby defer. Of course, I still also believe he is the DC on gameday.

There's a simple reason.

Usually because it doesn't work.

The time to get aggressive isn't a 4th and 11 and the defense is in a punt-safe scheme and you are about to give the ball back to a hot offense at midfield.

Most UGA fans know that outside of Cincy that was a weak lineup. We’re still in a wait and see approach but there is plenty of reason for optimism from us.

Sometimes conservative is the right move. Sometimes it’s not. Kirby has done both. His aggressive calls have been his worst ones.

Cause he wants to do it as a one-time surprise, not as a scheme. Huge difference.

Did ya watch the 3rd qtr of the Bama game? You think the offense was "conservative?"
