I think no matter what happens from here on out, this has been a historical season. I'm very proud, and love this team. So I'm celebrated that Arky made an outright win, without a lot of fuss. We would have gotten there, but it is nice to know already with three games left.

I don't care about the SECT, but I would love to go undefeated in conference play, although I admit, the chances are low.

I really want this team to go to the FF. So If we are still gimpy, I rather just lose in the SECT and rest up to be ready to play in the tournament.

Most consecutive conference titles for Arkansas is 5 straight.

I believe he is also a KU fan

Try to hold serve at home against LSU and then shut it down and get healthy in my opinion.

We should be able to handle USC and get the starters some much needed rest.

Of course, give it a good shot at home versus a very undetermined UK team. Their only motivation could be to ruin our home streak and undefeated SEC season. That's a great motivator for a group that lacks motivation.

It's funny, I kept hearing UK fans say that Cal was a good motivator and the kids were buying in and progressing.

UGA did not win the SEC in 2008. They won the SEC Tournament.

I watched Cals pressed last night....he is still the most classless a-hole in the game.

Most people don't know this, but Arkansas has a lot of history playing Cal teams. We had a series with UMass when he was there. Then he canceled the Arkansas/Memphis series that was a great rivalry because he didn't want to lose recruits to us. Now, he is 1-4 against Arkansas in his last 5 games.

Anyway, in his pressed he blames everyone but himself for the loss.

We've been in the league 20 years....our basketball history goes back much farther than 20 years.

Not SEC then. Thanks. I was just trying to remember a stretch were you won SEC titles 5 times in a row and couldn't.

Cal is awful. I'm not sure why the UK fans are enamored with him. Imagine Billy D with all that talent at his disposal.

I agree. This is a good game if we want to give Young a break, WY too, and let Walker get a lot of minutes.

As stated, our rich history extends beyond 20 years....not just 15 years like some flash in the pan programs.

Agree with Cal. Obviously, UK loves their own, and right now he is one of them. Yes he won a title a couple years ago, but a program can't be sustained by what he is doing. They're 27-28 games into the season and aren't playing as a team.

Last night, I counted 7 straight possessions when the guy bringing the ball up the court never looked to pass and just drive directly to the bucket. 5 of those resulted in missed shots/blocked shots/turnovers.

Even on their last possession of regulation last night, the guy with the ball never looked to kick it out even though we had 4 guys collapse on him in the lane.

Thread was about SEC champs. SEC topic on an SEC board. I asked about 5 in a row for Arky. Clearly, you know I don't GAF about the SWAC or whatever you guys were in.

You haven't won 5 SEC championships in a row. I got it now. I thought you might have at some point.

Check out some of these gems....

quote:

We took two steps back today. Give them credit, they played hard. They turned us over, but we turned them over. They had 20 turnovers. We left two timeouts. At one point I sat down and I would not speak to them. What are we running? I already told you in the timeout.

quote:

None of the three want to take the responsibility. That's what young guys do. Can't alibi. Every one of them, ‘My fault, I should have done this,' you're right, but I could have done this. You know, ugly.

quote:

The thing that disappointed me today is even with the lead, we had two guys that gave up on the game. You know it because you watched and you saw. They gave up on the game.

quote:

COACH CALIPARI ON RANDLE: He was. He played too many minutes. I'm trying to get guys to sub themselves. They just don't get it. The longer you're in there, you're not going to play better, you're going to play worse. If you're in there for numbers, you end up missing free throws, missing shots, not getting the key rebounds. You don't look good. You don't only hurt yourself, you hurt your team.
