It just doesn't have the same ring as we're number 1.
WIth the SEC improving so much in basketball lately, I can see it becoming a lot more like football with several teams fighting for the #2 spot over the next few decades.

With SEC basketball going to become better in basketball, other SEC schools will start winning titles.

I think a blue blood is defined as a program that wins multiple titles underneath different coaches, meaning the program is bigger than any one coach and Florida has certainly proved that. They are worthy of that status after last night.

Nah we'd be new blood. We never even made the NCAAT until the late 80s.
