I think they will be like there were 2 years ago 8 or 9 wins max.

We lose a ton of talent next year. Losing 3 would be about right and possibly 4 depending on how many of the Juniors bail to the No Fun League.

I guess Tebow leaving is all some people have to look forward to? This is discussed every time I come on this board, and all of you guys will be disappointed.

Interesting take on it from a Gator fan saying 3 losses. I got into an argument on here the other day with HarnessedInSlums who said the following:
Apparently even without Tebow and many of your Jr's who can declare, the rest of the SEC may as well not show up. Brantley and all the current backups will be as good or better than the current starters. LSU, Bama, and UGA haven't recruited as well as UF. frick it. I'll guess we'll just give up now....
quote:
You don't have to buy what I'm telling you. You wouldn't have bought it before last year's game and you won't buy it before this year's game. In your mind, LSU is right behind UF, just a year away. But the truth is you should prepare yourself for at least two more years of uncompetitive beatings and hope UF recruiting falls apart for one or two years. The gap is that big.
And I'm not a homer. I just call it like I see it. Florida hit the recruiting jackpot between 2006 and 2008. They got lucky in qualifying their players, in the number who panned out, and in the small number of transfers and busts. Even some of the lowly-ranked players that Florida fans lamented signing turned out to be all-stars (Brandon James and Ahmad Black, for instance). UF is on an uncommon sort of run evidenced by title runs in 2 out of 3 years, and likely 3 out of 4.
I'm actually doing you guys a favor by telling you this. Instead of getting your hopes up based on faulty information, I'm actually giving it to you straight, so you can keep your expectations in check. It is painful as a fan to believe the hype and then find your team losing game the pundits say they shouldn't be losing. That's going to be the LSU fan's experience against Florida for at least the next few years.

Fan comes from "fanatic".
I'm not saying we lose 3 but no one should be surprised if we do considering all our losses.
Besides, I always worry about the future in the future when it comes to football.
Who knows, Brantley may throw fitty elebin TDs and we win it again. But he may just be adequate and we lose 3 or 4. If anyone here knows the answer tell me the freaking lottery numbers for tonight.

He forgot to mention all the knee sugeries. Sure they are and will be loaded but not unbeatable.

That was precisely my point. I wasn't arguing about this year. I believe UF wins again this year (though not a blowout like last year) and I was trying to say it's impossible to NOT have some sort of a dropoff IF many of the JR's declare and Tebow going to the NFL. No one doubts all the 4 and 5 star players littering the roster, but Bama, LSU, UGA can all say the same.
I just think in 2010 at least, it will be a learning curve for some of the newbies. I'd expect 2011 to be a different story.
Either way, I'd consider it a colossal meltdown if UF doesn't win the SEC this year and get to Pasadena.

Oh, that was last year. Yeah, we went through about 4 I think.
I think that they actually stopped doing stadium climbs this year after they tried to find the source.

I knew it was an unusually high number. How is Beal coming along, I really wanted to see him in P&G.

Any Florida fan that truly believes Tebow is replaceable is completely delusional.

I'd say we win 9-10 games.
Probably lose to LSU and Bama in 2010.
