Y'all matched their offensive production yet having significantly less time of possession. Lagway threw a couple of bad picks, that was the difference.

You’re talking as if our schedules are equal. They are not. Texas played a significantly harder schedule, most of it being on the road.

No I'm talking SEC schedules in general. You're not being kept out of the playoffs because you lost Georgia. You're being kept out because you lost to 4-8 Florida and went to double OT against Miss State and Kentucky.

Some of you missing the OP's point due to your hatred of all things Texas.
Yes Florida was 4-8, but they had a lot of close games and more talent than most team in Power 4 conferences.
And fwiw Florida in the Swamp was Texas's first SEC game this year. Night and day difference between Arch and the Horns OL then versus now.
All that said it's no travesty of justice that Texas isn't in the CFP. It probably is a travesty of justice that OU is (their offense is atrocious; Texas rolled them and Vandy would as well). They're #8 solely because of their record.
And this is the lesson learned. Schedule a cupcake OOC and it won't matter if you lose to Fla in the Swamp or Georgia in Athens. Shrug.

Alabama got absolutely slaughtered by one of the worst teams in the ACC. They also lost to an Oklahoma team who couldn’t score if the defense played 8 guys. They also have the same exact tight margin wins against a handful of the worst teams in the SEC. Yet they are a shoe in?

Texas also had no healthy back, No LG, Two Starting DBs out, and Arch was still struggling with mechanics.
Nobody cares

What’s Georgias excuse? They should have lost to Florida too if not for that ridiculous call.
Hey wait, I think we should hear this man out, he speaks the truth!

Crazy thing is, you can say that for multiple games.

Good teams find ways to win. CBN and crew were the bad news bears and found new ways to lose.
Its a total team effort. If the players and the staff can't make big plays in big games, a team like Florida is the end result.
Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. All that matters is wins and losses.
Buckle up buttercup, this is the rude awakening we warned you about.

No one, but you pansies would try to equate these two games this year
You’re literally trying to make the case that the lost Georgia and the lost Florida were similar
The only thing similar is that they are losses

No, they are on the bubble and could potentially be out with a third loss in Atlanta.
I see why you're having issues understanding some basic ranking/CFP structure questions.

Who's the 4th playoff team UF played OP?
Ole Miss
Georgia
Texas A&M
#4?
And who are the 3rd and 4th playoff teams Florida took to the 4th quarter? Because that didn't happen with A&M. Dumbass.

Miami. Texas too, the team who whipped your arse up and down the field last week. Also A&M was up one possession to start the 4th dumbass. Did you read what I wrote?

And despite all that, there's no logical path for 3 loss texas to be in the CFP after losing to 4-8 Florida.
