Explain how the coach on the sideline is catching the pass, and the need for the defenders to sandwich him, then drill him to the ground?

if a QB is running with the ball, inertia of opposing players will happen.
Again, bear hugging and planting is 100% legal considering the momentum of the play.
Maybe it's 100% legal in the super tough SEC, but in the weak NFL it's not. You can bump into the QB if your momentum takes you there, but you can't grab the QB and slam him into the ground after he's released the ball.

The initial hit is completely fine. The follow up slam down was a bit WWE and questionable. That's what separated Franklin's shoulder.
Josh Harvey-Clemons made a similar play in the game that was more egregious-- I think to Washington. Kind of a dirty player from what I could tell, although he's the type you like when he's on your side.

I don't see anything dirty about that. To me, it looks like two linebackers finishing the play and not letting up. When Herrara (is it?) begins the tackle, Franklin still has the ball in his hands and to me it looks like he's going for the sack/turnover.
