When Saban dies on the sideline do you believe that Bama fans would be content knowing they will not win a title for 40 plus years? But they get to the point of being top 3 in recruiting and top 5ish post season.
Or walk through the wilderness you have been trekking through for the last dozen years? No thanks, I would rather miss that hike.

Acknowledging that uga is very good, and doesn’t suck, isn’t evidence of “being content and not aspiring to be the best”.
Try again.

That’s pretty much exactly what that means. Ok with just being good most years, never upset when they come close, in fact you celebrate it.

Nope. That’s just illogical hater spin.
We can compare how you felt as a vol fan in 1997 vs 2017 to prove my point.
It damn sure wasn’t the same feeling, and you know it. Can you admit it? Doubtful.

You have to be in your 30s or older by know right?
“If you feel content, you're satisfied and happy. ... The first has to do with being pleased and satisfied (feeling content)”
“Settle-resolve or reach an agreement about (an argument or problem).”
As in UGA is content with being a second tier program, they are settling instead of doing the things needed to be a champion.
You are happy where UGA is and are fine if it never improves.
This isn’t hate as much as just an observation that you support.
Your parents need to write their governor and ask for a refund on school taxes if you went to public schools.

You conveniently ignored my point about how you felt at very different times.
I am happy uga is recently, and currently, amongst the best. Like you were in the mid 90’s.
I am disappointed when we barely lose a championship to bama. Like you were vs spurrier.
I hope we win a championship again soon. Hopefully we get lucky break like so many championship teams get.

I have been disappointed by degrees every year the Vols haven’t won a title from 1985-2003. It hurt worse being close, knowing the team was good enough to do it but just fell short. From 2005-today I reset my expectations because honestly, the program just isn’t at that point yet.
That’s the thing about being a competitive person. It kills me to know they had everything they needed as a program, from roster to staff to facilities to support to win it all more often than not but only won 1 title on the field in that stretch. I hate going in knowing they are not there. That depth, time in system, and the roster are not at a point that I can go in expecting to win every game. It would be worse as a UGA fan under Kirby. Y’all go into every season knowing you not win a championship. You know despite one of the best recruiting runs ever that it’s not enough. You tell yourself the AD is committed to getting UGA there but the facilities and staff are average at best. And YOU ARE OK WITH IT. Instead of it could be better, you focus on it could be worse. That is a loser mentality. I could never just settle like that. I’m too competitive. I can recognize the short comings of the Tennessee program and set realistic expectations with that in mind. But I expect an upward trajectory. If they win 7 regular season games this year I except recruiting to move upward and 7 is now the baseline for next year. When that’s no longer the case you try something different until it is. Yes it doesn’t always work but damn dude I would have to give up sports otherwise.

eah, and they needed a bad call on a TD reception and an unforced redzone fumble to beat our depleted team by 5 points. best team ever would have lost to our fall camp roster by 20
I bet you face turns beet red every time you see another football publication or sports talk site label that LSU team the best ever. Don’t lie.

Too many people base decisions and form opinions on misinformed, emotional decisions, so forget what hurts more. That’s why demented Biden is president, isn’t it? Those mean tweets.
Anyways, the point is it’s better to be where the vols were in the 90’s rather than where the vols have been more recently. You have no argument against it.

This proves my point. Uga tries to win championships, and it’s a realistic goal, while the vols just hope to make a bowl, which isn’t a very sad place to be.
