It was years ago when I followed hv a lot. I think he used to have a sleeper recruit that would never pan out or something.

I don't know anyone that pays for Arkansas Rivals or Scout sites. Do most fans from other school pays to be on those?

Most people pay for recruiting info, but I've found that all of the different pay sites just report stuff so people will pay. Regardless of whether it ends up being right.
BOL (BamaOnline) usually has rumblings before everyone else, but people just relay the gossip here.

Otis? he's a tool. His wife is very nice though, I worked with her long, long ago. A lot of people give him grief over rating his son as one of the best WR in the state when he was a Sr. as a ploy to get some scholly offers. None came.
Think of the most unprofessional slob reporter in your state, then think of his worthless brother that never got his act together and there's Otis.
He's been doing recruiting for a loooooong time. His newsletter at one point was photocopies bound together. This was way before the net and any sort of sophistication with software like Quark or InDesign. He really should have more contacts and better information for someone that has been in the game 30 something years.
In saying all that he's not a bad guy to have a beer with.
