Les, Richt, Saban, Spurrier all seem to be nearing the end of their careers within the next five years and there has always been talk in the offseason about who would replace them. found this article on potential candidates in the future. who would you like? personally i would like Brent Venables from Clemson.

Les Miles is not bound by time.

Les Miles has been good for your program. I hope he stays there 10 more years. When we think of LSU, we think of Les.

no idea what you're talking about

but this isn't a thread saying i hope Les leaves. i love the guy, but thought the upcoming coaches was interesting and seems like some good guys will be on the market soon.

USC is the only program that would hire an Assistant Coach at this time.

i wouldn't take a chance with a position coach, but i think i would with a coordinator/assistant head coach.

Last year I would have put Sumlin on the hot seat. After the Chavis hire he bought himself a couple of years. Other than that..

Alabama: Chip Kelly. I see him fizzing out at Philly about the time Saban decides to retire. CK will come to Alabama and bring a more NFL style offense similar to Saban. About the only other choice in my mind would be Gary Patterson.

LSU: Gary Patterson or Mora Jr. We won't get fisher. I could also see Kirby Smart sneaking in there. He coached there in '03.

UGA: I feel like they'll get a strange hire that'll end up working out for them. Maybe Bill O'Brien.

USCe will make a poor hire. Not a destination school. They truly lucked out with Spurrier.

You do realize that Chip Kelly is running a college offense in the NFL?

I don't see him leaving TCU. He's had chances to leave there (correct?) and has stayed put; plus, he's 55 and I think looking to retirement before starting new somewhere else.

The offense Chip runs in the NFL is nothing like the one he ran at Oregon.

However.. He has a shite ton of Oregon players on his team. Coincidence.

Pruit looks good for UGA if he continues to do as well as he started.

Kirby Smart probably deserves a shot somewhere (prob not sec at first). Same could be said for Lashlee.

Kiffen would probably excel at Miami.

I wonder if South Carolina would be interested in Muschamp?

Alabama and LSU would probably want experienced coaches, Jimbo or Dabo maybe?

For some reason it's really hard for me to take Dabo seriously. I know he's a Bama guy, and he's done really well at Clemson... There's just something about him that makes me scratch my head.

It is not a prototypical NFL offense. They looked damn good against the Ravens.
