Like LSU and Neck with STTDB being yelled by the students From Dixie With Love was banned because the Ole Miss fans would yell the South will rise again at the end of it.
Even if the fans didn’t yell that not sure it would have lasted past 2020 with all the bullshite of cutting traditions that year but that’s why it was banned as long ago as it was before it became hip and woke to ban stuff.

I had relatives fight in the Revolutionary War, Civil War on both sides, WW1, both United States and Germany in WW2.
My grandfather was an Army green beret and spent 15 or so years in the Arkansas air national guard, jumping out of planes for shits and giggles.

My high school played Dixie followed by the National Anthem at every ballgame until a few years ago. Also flew the Stars and Bars beneath the US flag. Beautiful song. So sad.
