Iron Puppets, your fan base was a lot of fun Saturday. We had several stop by our tailgate and we sat with a couple of guys. We had a great time with them.
Both fan bases seem yo understand this isn’t the year for either team

Due to off field issues from multiple past coaches/players, etc. Not sure LSU can simply go out and get the best football coach they can find. They have to make a character hire as well. Somebody with a good reputation. Not Freeze.
Why would they give a damn if he turns the program into a consistent winner. Freeze is not only a winner, he elevates a program to levels they haven't seen. Screw the perception of his past. Would it affect his recruiting or his sideline ability ?

It was a big difference in pre-game environment from two weeks earlier at PSU for those who attended both. I was told White Out doesn't have anything on a typical LSU Saturday Night.
AU fans have done a 180 on the team since Saturday Night. A win will do that for you. Each week is different for both programs right now.

Because of the preception of the LSU football program which has ongoing litigation concerning women's issues. I don't think the administration wishes to risk compounding these embarassing issues by hiring a football coach, that is best known for hiring hookers for his recruits.

Clueless, that would not effect an litigation That is the excuse everyone gives. Truth is that would all be forgotten if Freeze can turn the program into a yearly power. Most of the alumni would not care about his past as long as he wins. Trump proved that this is a different era in the US and LA represents a lot of that pro-Trump population.

Petrino is in Springfield, Mo. , at Missouri State
He took one of the worst Div 1 FCS schools in the
country last year, finished tied for the Missouri Valley Conference and took them to the FCS playoffs for the first time in decades.
This season, Petrino is 3-1, with
Oklahoma State winning in a squeaker in the one loss.
Missouri State took a lot of heat for hiring Petrino
and he may not get another shot but the guy can coach.

Freeze lied to Sankey. Sankey ask him about Tunsil he lied and ask about the fraud in ACT scores involving Chris Kiffin he lied. Chris Kiffin paid off the ACT test personel and got busted. That is right the ACT people were involved in the NCAA investigation.

So, coaches lie all the time. Does Freeze have a Show Cause for lying to the SECC? Ole Miss fricked up by firing him, just like Ark did with Petrino. You fire a coach for his on the field performance, unless it can lead to probation.

all true. don't let some ark fans really relay a perception which is not true. Bobby came to the little Rock TD club not long ago, maybe last year or so, and got a standing, like 3 minute long, ovation when he came out. Bobby is still loved here. he didn't know how to recruit that well, but he also knew how to find diamonds in the rough like trey flowers down in Alabama, and deatrich wise. he had an eye for DL talent. he also got philon to come when Alabama snubbed him. all 3 were Alabama "3 stars" over looked by Alabama and bert got lucky AF those guys were here. that may have been the best DL in college football in 2014. honestly it was the best defense in CFB that year, and the best front 7 at arkansas I've ever seen. the only thing bert contributed was Martell spaight who was a LR Boy and one of the best LB in the country that year, but Bobby would have never taken him because he was 6'0 tall and Bobby had rules about how big players had to be for him to recruit them. idk If Bobby could have gotten those guys to play championship defense because of how unphysical the practices were, but I have a feeling they would have still gotten there. I'm just not sure what the offense would have looked like on the Offensive line. that was the one position he didn't recruit on offense, but I know 2015 Brandon would have shown up in 2014 with Bobby, and it's possible if he had stayed, and gotten the line fixed we win a NC that year because he always had the offense, but he would have had a real D that year. not sure If he is the guy for lsu though. they have O line problems, and physicality issues. Bobby is an amazing coach, and an elite play caller. he has just burned so many bridges that no one will work for him because he is such an a-hole.

Seriously bro? A school that has had all of that bad puiblicity regarding sexual harassment and cover ups and what nots is not going to hire Freeze. It just isn't going to happen. Clueless is thinking it will.

Depends on how bad they want to win. How many programs would hire Urban Meyer tomorrow if he had any interest in returning to CF ? Like I said the bottom line is winning, and Freeze has proven he can win. He is a lot less risky than hiring the Hot Name Coach we see hired every year. It really would be a no-brainer for LSU.

I don't think there are shortcuts to finding a program changing coach. I don't like the guys running around on their wives or claiming to be holy men while paying hookers. But it isn't about the ethical lapses as much as it is about the deeper meaning.
Truly great coaches are defined by their obsession with success. The obsession is the virtue.
I don't think the Freeze, Petrino, and Kiffins (as talented as they all are) are the top level talent guys who rapidly rise through the ranks and to the top. So don't hire them if you are a Florida, Georgia, LSU, or tOSU type programs.

You don't know many coaches or have been to any coaching clinics. Freeze got caught, otherwise he would be on your purity list. That is the only thing that separates most coaches.
