Weird take. His twitter and Instagram profile picture is still him in an OU jersey. (Even though he's a starting NFL QB)
But I'm sure Alabama has some random picture of him wearing a Bama tshirt they think is more important than his social media profile pictures that he knows the world uses to identify him.

I agree with you for the most part this is just dumb. Baker and Kyler were definitely developed by Oklahoma. Jalen improved at Oklahoma as well. Spencer Rattler was one of the top 10 QB's as a freshman last year.

Hurts seems to agree with the tweet
The realistic take? Hurts considers himself both a product of Alabama and Oklahoma. He respects and cheers for both. He still has a great relationship with many of his former Bama teammates and coaches, especially Saban. Same goes for his time at Oklahoma. So saying he feels disrespected is ludicrous.
Counting Hurts for Bama isn’t the same as counting Burrow for OSU or Kamara for Bama. Because Hurts started at Alabama for two years, won some honors and titles, still holds quite a few school records, and graduated from Bama. He also won the 2018 SEC CG for Bama. His improvement as a passer begin in 2018 and OU/Riley really helped him and gave him a place to showcase his development.

OU wasn’t the first choice college for all 3 of their QBs lmfao
One of them literally left because, as he stated, your program was a shite show!!! Lol

I think he acknowledges both Alabama and Oklahoma which is perfectly fine just as Landon Dickerson acknowledges both Florida State and Alabama.

Legit question, because I don't watch much pro football. At the start of most NFL game broadcasts don't the starters for both teams say their names and schools? Which school does Hurts say?

Thats just on Sunday Night football. Jalen has not been on Sunday Night football since he got in the league and will not be this year unless the Eagles make the playoffs and NBC has the rights to that playoff game

I'm willing to go out on a limb and give an unpopular opinion as a Bama fan. I'm extremely proud to have him as a fellow Alabama alumnus, but Alabama did not develop him into a starting NFL QB. He played like he was scared to make a mistake at Alabama and was extremely risk averse, to the point that he lacked confidence to make basic downfield throws against good defenses in the 2nd half of the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
Frankly, that was Saban, Kiffin, and Brian Daboll's fault that they never really gave him the freedom to be a true QB. I think all 3 of them, especially Saban, learned a lot about adapting to the modern game through seeing Jalen struggle.
A year on the bench under Mike Locksley to reset mentally and learn the style Tua was allowed to play, and then obviously Riley's year with him totally transformed him into the QB we see today.
But let's be real....he was nowhere near a draftable NFL QB at the time he was benched in the title game.

You can argue that Alabama developed Hurts but there is not argument that OU didn’t develop Mayfield or Murray.
Murray was terrible his year at A&M and Mayfield only played a few games at Tech because the starter was injured.
Riley has a lot to do with both of their developments as QBs.
