Isn't this the first time Fournette isn't the one opting out?

Honest question as I don't know...how was Tampa's running game last year?

The Last laugh? He lost millions of dollars this year and has had his ego bruised.

He had his 5th year option declined that would have paid 8.43 million. He signed with a team for measly 2 million.

He will likley never see that 50-60 million dollar 2nd contract that all top RBs receive.

Tampa has a lot of weapons and he will not get 340 touches like he did with the Jags.

He was supposed to be a generational talent and the best since Adrian Peterson.

Bad but Ronald Johnson improved a good bit as year went on

That's why we took Vaughn out of Vandy in the 3rd

That’s easy to say years after it happened.

Fournette was the best pick at the time. He also had a great rookie year, then didn’t train well in the offseason afterward, because he didn’t have people like LSU trainers to schedule and coach him in the offseason after his rookie year. A lot of players can struggle with things like that.

Nobody knew what those two players you mentioned had in store. Go post on Twitter.

In the next draft they took Taven Bryan at #29, Lamar Jackson went 3 picks later.

So glad Leonard escaped that incompetency. The #1 back in SEC history deserves better!

Thanks. I only pay attention to actual in-game stats when they play the Saints

Why do people keep saying this? He didn't even average 4ypc which is what you would want from an average RB not one that was drafted 4th overall. He by definition was below average his rookie year.

He is the RB version of JaMarcus Russell. He got an 18 million dollar signing bonus up front without ever having to prove anything. He got lazy gained a lot weight and became a locker room cancer.

Luckily I believe Minshew will be a franchise QB

Adding Shenault to go with Chark after making the pro bowl his second yr should be a nasty duo

Its crazy how much analysts sleep on how good he was last yr

Minshew was awarded the Pepsi Rookie of the Week Award for his performance in a 38-20 win over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 17, the seventh time he has won the award this season. No other rookie in the entire league won the award more than once in 2019

He isn’t that bad, bro.

He’s definitely mainly successful with a large volume of touches, though. He’s not a very efficient running back. Then again, what offensive players do well in Jacksonville?

Henry is a much better back. You can't even argue it at this point. It doesn't matter what QB he plays with.

I didn't mean JaMarcus as far as being a bust, but as far as not being able to stay hungry after receiving so much money up front. Very few RBs get drafted top 5 and receive that type of guaranteed money.

In his second season he was 20lbs overweight and averaged 3.3 ypc.

He performed decent this year, but was nothing special. He only scored 3 TDs in 15 games. He did have a lot of receptions, but didn't have a lot of YAC with those receptions. Lots of empty calorie stats.

You’re looking at stats that don’t tell the entire story. I watch every single Jags game, and I’ve done it since ‘95. His rookie year was on a terrible offense, and he was one of the best rookie RB’s I’ve seen on the Jags. He was the safest pick at the time, and just never lived up to his potential. But dude has some flashes of greatness, and if he finds a good routine, and team, he’ll be a lot better than he was with the Jags.
