Adrian Peterson didn't exactly look all world in his debut in college. It took him a couple games to get rolling.
There is your post in its entirety, where exactly did I misunderstand you?

Nobody mentioned his freshman stats assmunch.

in his debut in college
These two kind of go hand and hand wouldn't you agree? Also, isn't stats somewhat pertinent to the discussion?
quote:
I talked about his debut which was against Bowling Green
Where in your original post do you mention this?
You also said a couple of games. Are you confused with what you said or pissed that you are getting called out for it?

There isn't a hole in LF ' S game.
Maybe that's why he can't read the holes and hit them quickly?
He has all the physical tools, no question. But he has a lot to learn.

I'd like to think that the individuals that are either professional athletes or professional analysts know more than most when it comes to the sport. If they are continuously commenting on how great he is gonna be then obviously they see something there .
I hope the ones who are downing his skill set eat dirt when they see what he does.

Bowling Green Gets beat by FCS schools so I include them and uofH ain't exactly a powerhouse. They have beaten a power 5 Conf. Team how many times since 2000

I knew the op was dumb when he said Faulk was the last "it" back for lsu. Toefield, Ridley, and Hill were all great backs.

LF has 21 attempts in his college career and people are trying to predict his NFL future. The internet has been awesome for college sports.

I think he will end up being great. But right now, he is not. Of course I'm expecting improvement. But if Hilliard and Magee are better backs that are more adapted to the college game right now, shouldn't they be getting more carries?
When Mississippi State comes to town, we better make sure the best running backs are getting the ball. That's all I'm saying.
Fournette will be a beast. But he needs to learn how to run first.

I agree.
To me he looks like he is gonna be a real good down hill type back but not a Heisman contender.
After two games and less than 30 carries...
Anyone claiming he's the next Peterson is an idiot. Anyone claiming he's average after two games is also an idiot.

I think Fournette will find his legs and do well. It will be fun to watch what he does as the season progresses.

Debut, you know like first start, which was against BG, right?
And the level of competition he played in his first two games was my point. He got confidence early which is exactly my point. What is so hard to understand

Nevermind. I see now why others just ignore you...

Anyone with knowledge of LSU'S offensive strategy knew LF wasn't gonna get the carries to he anywhere close to the Heisman.
He would have to get about 3-5 more touches per game than Hill had last year to be in the ballpark. Ingram won it with 270 attempts in '09 with a similar loaded backfield/offensive strategy. Won't happen but it also wasn't crazy talk that he could get enough carries.

I'd also like to go on record right now saying Darrell Williams will be an All -SEC back before he leaves LSU.

If Fournette ran like him, he'd be in the Heisman conversation by year's end.
That kid is going to be good.

Come on dude. You know what I mean. Those guys never sniffed a heisman or the kind of accolades that we've already given to fournette. I do stand corrected that Collins had the wow factor. He was a special back.

bullshite. You have no idea what you're talking about. Every single rb at lsu had trouble getting through the line at some point last night. You do realize that every time LF comes into the game , the other team puts 9-10 in the box. In 2 games he has 252 total yards. In 2 games he has 113 yards rushing on 21 carries. In 2 games he has 2 rec for 32 yards.
