Former Utah player suing Utah for discrimination over being held out of practice and games

This should be interesting with the condition he has. I know that people go into a lathergic state if there isnt enough carbs to counteract the insulin they take. I am sure there would be a quick lawsuit if he got hurt bad because of that happening. I wonder how many D1 football players there are that are type 1 diabetics. Maybe its not that uncommon?

It’s more than just a lethargic state. If he is type one, low blood sugar can lead to a coma and death quickly. It’s an idiotic lawsuit, not only that physical activity causes your blood sugar to drop more rapidly

Yep I was thinking how practices are would be a big risk.

you need diabetes education so you don't sound so ignorant. people with type 1 DM do physical activity literally all the time and it's why insulin pumps are a thing.

whatever the real story is, he wasn't held out of practices and games and not allowed to travel because he is diabetic.
