A former South Carolina QB is currently recovering in the hospital after suffering multiple gunshot wounds Monday.
Officers were called to the 1212 Middlecrest Dr. NW address in Concord, North Carolina, where Anthony Wright was found with gunshot wounds. He was rushed into emergency surgery and is listed in stable condition, per reports.
The Sun Journal in New Bern, South Carolina, confirmed that Wright is the former South Carolina QB. He played for the Gamecocks from 1995-98, where he threw for over 5,600 yards and 38 TDs. He went on to play eight seasons in the NFL with multiple teams, even winning a Super Bowl with the New York Giants in 2008.

Disgusting, become has this world.
Wright QB'd against us in what would be our last tie ever...'95.
Hope no severe after effects.

Former Mississippi State QB, Greg Plump, actually played his entire career with a bullet lodged in him.

Yes. The body is a miraculous device that has amazing abilities to mend itself. I’ve had patients shot through the face, bullet enters left cheek, passes through tongue and exits right cheek, and they go home the next day. If the guy is in good health and he has good cardiac, hepatic and renal function, he will survive this.
