I dunno? All I read was an interview by McEvoy talking about why he left SC (because he was behind several other QBs, and because Spurrier could not work with his throwing motion) and why he thinks he is gonna start at Wisky ... because, evidently, the coach their promised him a good shot if he would sign with them.
In truth he left SC because, when he was pulled in NC for underage drinking and ticketed, he was automatically flagged for a piss test when he got back to SC. He promised Spurrier that he had had one beer, and nothing else. But he failed the piss test (weed) and Spurrier told him to pack his shite - Spurrier does not tolerate players that lie to him.

He got a commitment from a QB from GA we thought we were in good shape with.

Yall may think I'm crazy, but I have heard from a VERY reliable source that Southern Miss is a big time player in the Lunt sweepstakes. (I live in Hattiesburg FWIW)
