That's not why you should admit you're an idiot

I freely admit to being an idiot

McElroy probably was better "prepared" for the NFL.

Common sense and objective evidence says otherwise.

Your are being fooled by talent. I said McElroy didn't have the talent.
Cam wasn't even prepared to understand NFL plays or terminology.

He had the talent though. McElroy didn't.

What will poor Auburn fans do once their one player in the NFL retires?

Since it's dead season...get in here and admit your an idiot if you thought Cam would never make it in the NFL or thought he'd only last until his legs gave out like a running back cause he couldn't throw at that level. He became one of two men to pass for 3000 yards in each of his 1st 8 seasons today. His equal...Peyton Manning. Who's willing to admit they were ignorant? #inbefore$camisused

Holy fricking melt.

Talent...Hmm...wasn't prepared you say...Hmm...stop reading junk articles. To be fair Shula was his OC which likely stunted his arc growth.

Damn man, Cam is a good NFL player. Definitely in the top dozen or so.

Personally, I enjoy watching just about any NFL game and getting to see several SEC players (many Bama guys) play every game.

For a team built around defense and ball control...Ron needs to find some defense.

Congrats to Cam and Peyton on being only players in NFL history to throw for 3000 yards each of their 1st 8 seasons.

FYI...if you watched he was injured (shoulder) actually put the back up QB in at the end of the 1st half to throw the 50 yard hail mary.

I think he is one of the most gifted athletes to ever play football.

Unfortunately, I dont think we will ever see him scratch the ceiling of how good he could of been because of his time at UF, Juco, and Auburn where his prime developmental years were wasted.

Would have loved to have seen him play 3 years with a real QB coach grooming him for the NFL.

Yea...wasting away with Shula wasn't an issue.

Who's willing to admit their team is such a Charlie Foxtrot that they frantically search for something to be happy about?

Cam is a super athlete playing QB . Kelvin Benjamin quote was straight up honesty . Cam can do it all but you haft to be willing to except his passing shortcomings. And hope it doesn’t rear its ugly head when a game is on the line ..

Like today .

The OP is a complex individual...can like basketball, enjoy a pro football players performance, play golf, be disappointed in my schools football team all at once. Nothing about that causes my life to feel out of balance.

Solid QB though.

Auburn football was a force to be reckoned with for those 8 months.
