Just playing devil's advocate, but is it possible that former players are not allowed to talk to recruits while they are on official visits? I don't know the rules, but they asked him to leave the recruiting lounge, so they might have felt it violated some rule.
As for Holsey, I dunno what happened with him. Sounds like they are asking players to buy tickets.

#CoachHughFreeze told me out his mouth he was doing everything he possibly could do to accommodate former players. And want us back much as possible! My friends and I who played at @Auburn Football urn are getting treated the best we’ve ever been treated under any coach. We can’t blame Freeze for past coaching issues and how we were treated. @therealkwat goes out his way to accommodate former players. The issue is the changing of guard sometimes guys get left out. This group is at least trying hard as they can. #WarDamnEagle
