well if he's found guilty then at least we'll know that a lot of those blowouts could have just been bad loses...because somehow that's better?

I don't know much about gambling but I suspect it's more about controlling by how much they lose by. If the line is +10 Auburn and you make sure you lose by more than that, would that not be lucrative to someone?

if i remember correctly the way this came to light is that ward tried to get other players to join the fixing process (and if you believe the stories, they told the coaches and ward was dismissed)

So i think that's what he's saying.
