Looked pretty decent for his first fight. He used the clinch pretty well and his footwork wasn't that bad. He landed some punches to get the guy off balance and then finished him off with a decent rear naked choke. All in all, a pretty good fight for him.

I can only go off of 50 seconds of video (and that scrub he "fought" was pure garbage) so it's really difficult to judge anything thus far, but......

He showed really quick feet and athleticism, especially when he took the guy's back and sunk in the hooks. Did they announce him as 218lbs??

Yeah, the guy he fought was terrible, but he still showed some skill in the clinch and submission aspects of MMA.

To be fair, that guy is probably having a difficult time adjusting to a fighting style that doesn't feature tire irons in the parking lot of Wesley's Boobie Trap.

Eryk Anders vs Shawn "The Savage" Jordan
Lets make this shite happen

They definitely should try and get these two together for a fight, I think one in Biloxi would get a pretty good draw. I did see Shawn about 6 months ago though and he said he had a fight coming up in Vegas, so he might have moved up a bit in the world of MMA. I hope so anyway, best of luck to both of these guys.

Recently I've though about what I want to accomplish in my lifetime. Maybe marry a good girl, have a couple kids, travel the world, make a difference.

Seeing an MMA fight in Cullman is not one of those things.

True, but a couple of good fights could get him noticed. Hell he could apply for the UFC TV series.

This is what I was thinking. He has to have talent. He has to be good enough. Whether he is or not remains to be seen, but he is the type of guy Dana White drools over when it comes to TUF.

He's big. He's fast. He already has a built-in audience. You think Dana won't realize that the entire state of Alabama will be tuned in to watch TUF every night Eryk is on? If he didn't, someone will let him know.

It all depends on how good he can be, but he has advantages both in athletic training, overall name recognition and exposure that your average twenty-something up and comer just does not have.

Jordan Jefferson should go the MMA route. Heavy footed and could make some noise.

He'd be the first ever fighter to cry in the ring. He'd get wrecked and blame it on the announcers.

No doubt. I don't think there's any quit in EA. He's got the athletic ability. And there are a lot of guys who've made a butt load of money being great wrestlers in MMA.

There are so many people who will not appreciate your comment. The Trap is a septic wound where dreams are filled with rusty sod cutters and dirty syringes. To you, sir. To you.

I don't know if wrestling in the state of Alabama makes him a "great wrestler"

But he definitely doesn't lack athleticism

Just gonna bump this one. Eryk won his second fight with a first round TKO.

Not the best footage, but here's video of the fight. He just beat the boy down for about 4 minutes.
