Isn't he the same 5* guy that got beat out by 3* & 4* Cane RBs, that were just avg and didn't dominate ACC Competition

So why do you think he's gonna move the meter in the admittedly tougher SEC?

He got injured. Their RBs were pretty talented, their issue was their Oline was the worst in the power five. We got in the backfield every play vs them. That shite was ridiculous.

Deejay Dallas was fun to watch, he could really only get going on dump offs bc the OL was so bad

Yea going into the game their Rbs worried me.

They did damage outside the tackles, problem was they could rarely get outside.

Who's saying that he's going to "move the meter?"

I do think we currently have a fairly weak RB room by our standards and that getting Lingard eligible is very good for our depth. Pierce + Lingard is an above-average SEC RB duo probably

All I know is this

Kid ran a 4.27 40 at Miami his freshman year.

That kind of speed is something we have been missing.

No doubt Mullen will get this kid the ball in the open space.

Also, do we know his reason for immediate eligibility? Curious what it was.

I love his highlight reels. Really a lot of upside with him. Miami said he ran the 4.27. Probably a little over stated, but he is every bit as fast as Rainey was with the ball in his hands from his tape. Really excited for this kid to hit the field.

People can talk trash all they want about him being a transfer. Jefferson transferred, so did Greenard(as did three Heisman finalist of course). They seemed to do decent in the SEC, and this kid has more raw talent than either of them. Actually he is right there with Copeland in terms of freakish athletic ability. Fast top end speed, cuts and gets back to speed quickly, and seeks out contact. Was the second ranked RB in the class for a reason.

My only worry with this kid is how well he recovered from his MCL injury. Not the easiest thing to bounce back, but thank god for science and making it less of an issue these days.

Same. I'm just glad it was only the MCL and not a multi ligament tear. Seems to have a higher recovery rate based on NFL research I just read.

What “standards” are those. Who has UF had since Fred Taylor?

Well we have had quite a few good ones, including a guy who scored 5 TD's against LSU the last 3 years, but anyone can do that so I can see where you might not know him.
