How much greater is baseball attendance compared to the basketball team....Double? Triple?

I would love to have attendance numbers like LSU, or even Arkansas, but I know that's never going to happen at Alabama. Most people don't care about baseball like some of us Alabama fans do.

I don't remember exactly. I know that last season LSU had over 400k in baseball attendance, and probably a little more than 200k in basketball attendance. Kentucky was the only school in the nation that topped LSU's baseball attendance with its basketball attendance (which is kind of mixing apples and oranges, I know).

EDIT: For LSU in 2008-09 basketball...

#37. LSU, 21 G, 217834, 10373 avg. ( LINK)

For LSU in 2009 baseball...

#1. LSU, 42 G, 403056, 9596 avg. ( LINK)

The highest single on-campus attendance for the upcoming season will be at Mississippi State on Saturday during Super Bulldog Weekend (Spring Football Game, baseball, etc). With good weather, State will have 12,000. With good weather and a decent baseball team, State will have closer to 14,000. Only thing that would beat it would be State hosting a regional, but that's not likely in 2009.

When Cohen produces a much better team at MSU in the next few years, State will push closer towards #1 in attendance, but LSU and Arkansas having 10,000 seats will be really tough to beat. It would take MSU finishing near the top of the SEC and a season ticket marketing campaign to get there.

Ole Miss is in the 10,000+ club.
We had the highest single game attendance in the SEC for our super regional this past year.

I care more about being the national champions in the sport than winning at some attendance ranking.

I don't think some right field bleachers are going to pad your attendance a single bit. Unless your regular season games are normally sold out and filled to the brim, it isn't gonna matter. Good addition though.

Considering that average paid attendance was 9596 last year, yeah, I think it's going to make a difference.

We know. A lot of this is just in fun, kind of as a running joke on a poster from last year who kept arguing that Arkansas would have greater attendance if it weren't for the colder weather up there.
