If you want an idea, YouTube probably still has the 2008 Arkansas vs. Florida game. Watch it. The officiating crew was suspended after the game. Playing Texass was like that nearly every fricking game.

Texas was a powerhouse before the modern era of college football. Arkansas was a perennial loser with a handful of winning seasons. No one cared unless the St. Louis baseball was on the radio.
However when the 60s began which many historians put as the modern age of college football. The series between both programs are close.

It's relevant because you have no clue what it was like to play against Texass every year in the old SWC. That game is as close as it gets. I told you why it is relevant when I mentioned it. We beat Florida's arse that game, but nobody was going to allow Tim Tebow to go down to the Hogs. Just like we beat that Texass arse many, many times, but it just wasn't allowed.
If you don't know, you don't know. It should be enough for you to know that Texass cheated their asses off. I've already seen several of your posters blame the demise of the SWC on OTHER team's cheating. But not Texass. Never Texass.

It wasn't a point that Texas cheated or not in games but I was making a point that with the arrival of Frank Broyles during the beginning of the modern college football era, Arkansas was competitive with Texas.
Also an unwritten rule during the SWC days was that no ref from Arkansas could do any games in Texas.

There’s the arrogance we all know and loathe. I never said Texass wasn’t better. I said that Texass was allowed to cheat if they couldn’t legitimately win. I saw it with my own eyes, time and again.
I truly am looking forward to playing the Horns again. I just never wanted to be in a conference with cancer again.
