For the most part, I've found non attendees to be more disrespectful

I am an LSU fan, but I attended a different university. I tend to not truly disrespect any other team. I usually just have discussions or a little joking around when I discuss with other team's fans. Do you think the non attendees you are talking about possibly just didn't attend college at all and possibly aren't as educated and don't know how to act in a certain setting? That'd be my bet. Also, not saying all people who didn't go to college act silly (my parents didn't attend and they act in a civil manner), and I'm not saying all people who did attend college act in a civil way (couldn't be further from the truth), but if you're saying most of the disrespecting is from non-attendees, it's probably from people who never attended any college and aren't that educated.

I attended some parties there and a few games in the 80's while at Ole Miss. Since I was an actual SEC college student who went to a bama game on campus with a few actual bama girls and guys (most of who seemed way too stoned and stupid to have any graduated BTW)that should count, Oh shite i forgot you actually have to be a bama fan. Well it is still closer than most of the ranter bama fans on this board. BTW I suspect that most of our LSU rantards didn't go there either. (I did btw, got my degree and I am free. It was the worst freaking years of LSU foiotball ever.

How about giving them a break and giving them a mulligan if they actually played tackle football at lesat at the JV level instead.

The OP obviously knows nothing about being a true fan.Just because someone did not attend the states flagship university for whatever reason does not make them any less of a fan.A large number of those fans to whom you are refering happen to contribute a great deal to support these schools.Maybe you should humble yourself and take a lesson from Alahunter=A true fan.

Consider this. If a person attends or graduates from a school, with the amount of time and money they or their family spend, even if they were not a fan before they would almost have to be due to the investment. Almost like an endenture. Where as people who have not attended have the choice. They can be a fan of any school they chose and have no binding ties. Yet they chose to be a fan of a particular school. So which person is showing more passion. You may not agree with this view just giving you something to consider. It is illustrated much better by Warrren St. John in the book "Rammer Jammer, Yellow Hammer" a good read no matter who you are a fan of.

I guess that I can just keep rooting for my Steelers...

And they still won't read the damn thread. I give up with you rantards. It's like trying to reason with an old man.
