Every one watches to see Bama lose.

Viewership always spikes when that is on the table.

The reality: that is a compliment to Alabama and how rare those losses happen.
Edit to add: no one (outside of UGA) is watching to see UGA win.

People watched because it was a competitive game between Alabama and Georgia. It has nothing to do with who they wanted to see lose.

It was the prime time game between ranked teams during a boring week of football. Congrats?

Oh and btw, Texas and LSU are the top 2 viewed football teams this year

Crazy that OU/tx peaked with 2m more but was less overall.

Thats some big numbers for both games but was similar to playoff matchups.

Sankey needs to get more $$$ out of the TV folks

That was before last weekend.

We'll check it at the end of the year and see what it is.

I don't like giving Texas credit for everything, but at this point you'd have to say that they're the biggest TV draw in the SEC. Their "peak" against a bad Oklahoma team at 3:30 was higher than the game of the year in the SEC in primetime.

Population, I guess. Texas has more people than Tennessee, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Arkansas combined.

Guess most times that ends in severe disappointment then…with the exception of when the Refs want to toss these viewers a bone.

LSU fans are still doing this shite. People were really hungry to watch football in week 1. LSU vs. Clemson was the only game that remotely resembled a marquee game that weekend. People hadn't realized that Clemson and LSU both suck yet. No real competition in that timeslot. It peaked at 8.7 million.

LSU vs. Texas A&M was the least-watched ABC SEC Primetime Game of the Week since Disney got the broadcast rights.

But it's happened 9 times in the last 24 months now. Is that still really a thing?
