Yes, to operate into the 2050s, but the value of the B52 is so good it's operational life may be extended yet again. Well designed and constructed aircraft with few operational hours on each aircraft keeps it rolling along.

Seems to me it's like a well made 68/69 Chevrolet Impala that stays the same on the outside and interior, but keeps getting drivetrain, accessories, and suspension upgrades. It a military aircraft retro-mod.
