Florida does the best it can with what it has. LSU seldom does but wins anyway. If we limit our mental errors like holding, dropped passes, jumping the snap, etc, you lose.

If we both play at 100%, you lose.

If we are sluggish and sloppy, bad guys win. So it is up to us, not you.

If both play 100 percent? Meaning Harris completes more than four passes?

Grier is as heralded as any starting QB in the conference, he's just really young,

He is ranked #39 in the NCAA right now. That's not too bad for a kid just getting his sea legs.

Both teams match up in power and speed. We have a good line, better running backs and it is at home, at night.

If we play our best game and you play yours, we win. If we are lackluster, penalized heavily and are sloppy, the bad guys win. We control our destiny, not you.

I definitely agree about the RB advantage...although we have two true frosh RBs behind Taylor...we are not as heralded as LSU. OL is a strength for LSU...although in 2 weeks our Ol will have gelled even more and our 5 star OL Ivey will be flexing by then.

We have the advantage of better defense, a MUCH better QB and WRS who are breaking open games and slight edge at TE.

Our gameplan against LSU is quite simple...stop run and make Harris beat us...which he cant. Its easier said than done stopping Fournette...he is akin to a runaway beer truck...very strong and determined. To pull it off will require putting as many men up on the line as possible and having LB/S slash through gaps to disrupt play when he handed the ball. Do that enough times early in the game will frustrate LSU and hopefully our offense can generate points. Miles is very very conservative and will run, run and run.

Strongly suggest getting him a whole pallett of grass to chew on for this game. We get up 2 scores it will become quiet in TS and we can start forcing throws. We have a debt to settle for last year's game that we should have never lost. Will be some pads a popping in this one. If Will Grier has a great night it can get LSU down 2 scores in a hurry....so I disagree that if we both play our best that LSU gets the W.

Your words, not mine. Dropped passes have been an issue, even against inferior opponents. Dropping passes and holding calls, negating long gains will cost us against Florida.

The performance of Harris was a question earlier in the season. While he has thrown a few bad passes, he has thrown some good ones that were dropped. His completion percentage would be pretty good if the good passes were all caught.

We may see some new faces at the X, Y, and Z in the coming weeks. Young men with a quality want.

Dumb post-

It's irrelevant that Ole Miss was overrated - they still scored 40+ on Bama and 55yds avg per game. The only scoring drives that Florida D gave up...a 9:30min drive that netted 3pts and a gimmie TD with 4min left in the game.

Pretty remarkable for a crappy D

I think Florida is in a great spot to make a drastic improvement in short order. Great coaching.

I started this thread to bait the Gator fans to see if they would go off the deep end.

They dove all the way to the bottom.

Grier is ranked 39th nationally. Harris (Ours, not yours) is 40. Much, much better...

Our WRS have underperformed. Yours are getting big YAC. Ours can, and will, step up. I hope it is sooner than later.

SEC speed aint no joke. Good luck

With the QB improving they could get to the SECCG and compete well.

Being a terrible troll is one thing. Making terrible arguments, and then trying to play it off as trolling is just pathetic. Try harder.

Is this aimed at 75% of the SEC?

People keep saying "they almost lost to ECU" and "they almost lost to Tennessee"

Well they fricking didn't.

I understand what you're trying to say and all, but wouldn't you think it's a little out there to assume you're going to dominate #3 in the nation after you have a tough time against ECU and almost lose to Tennessee? I understand that a team can improve and it's great and all if they do, but I just don't see the logic in believing that you'll beat a high ranked opponent when you just showed that you're having some trouble against clearly weaker teams than the one you're about to face. It makes a good bit of sense for somebody to think that Florida wouldn't pull something like that off with the information they have on past games.

It'd be like me saying that the Gamecocks could beat Alabama by more than 20 points after we've gotten decimated by Georgia, barely beat North Carolina and UCF, and also lost to teams like Kentucky and Missouri. Doesn't that sound a little out there and quite unrealistic?

Yeah yeah I know Florida's case is much better than ours right now, but both scenarios are still in the same context.

Mac's system utilizes one thing UF receivers are good at. Blocking down field. I'm pretty sure it's all Muschamp had them do while he was here because Fulwood, Bailey, and Robinson are awesome at it. If you watch UF, almost all of our receptions have other players close, and they immediately turn to block. The first few games it was not clicking. It clicked in the fourth vs UT, and big time last game. I rwatched the game again on my DVR, and I saw 12 completions that had YAC made possible by a block by another receiver or TE. The reason the offense is clicking is I think the players are buying into the team concept.

It also makes Grier's job easier. He doesn't have to look at progressions scattered across the field, but has 2-3 options in his eye line when he is looking to make a throw. Honestly this scheme is perfect for a young Oline and under achieving receivers. Allows for quick decisions and sets up YAC. Our passing game is becoming very threatening, and it should only get better.
