What is the least Southern state in the SEC?

Florida is probably what people think of at first glance. But I think that Jacksonville, Tallahassee and Pensacola are more Southern than any areas in the other 3 states. Even if nothing in the other 3 states (except for maybe El Paso) is as un-Southern as Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

Missouri is not the "most Yankee state", but it is certainly the "least Southern" state in the SEC by a large margin.

It is this simple.

And yes, Virginia is overrun with transplants. However, Virginia is amazingly beautiful, and you should go if you have the opportunity. Drive it. Don't fly.
