The key is policing yourself.
LSU had an issue although not agent related but self reported with Akeim Hicks, pulled coach off recruiting trail, got rid of coach and never played the player in question. That's what compliance is for!

Did anyone mention that the State of Florida has a law now to prosecute the agents and runners that do this crap?
I hope they punish the agent/runner severely. This crap has to stop.
I'm not defending Pouncey if he did this but his family really needs the money. His dad was severely injured and can't work any longer. He should have waited though. If he is guilty his name should be deleted from all the football records at FL.

Jackass, where did I say it was justified.
I forking said I wasn't defending him. Not following the rules and jeopardizing your team's bowl victory is never justifiable. It was extremely selfish.
FTR, his dad lost a limb in a work accident but that doesn't excuse Mike's actions if he took the cash. I bet if this is true his family is pissed as well.

I don't think so - unless you don't think Auburn is a big name. It's just a people suck at geography issue
Before I came to Louisiana (as an adult) I really couldn't have told you for sure that South Carolina was in the SEC... and wouldn't have been sure Clemson was in South Carolina (not North Carolina)... but I would certainly have said Clemson was the bigger football school than South Carolina
To me it was just common knowledge - South Carolina has just been so bad historically at football. Clemson has had stretches where they were pretty good to outstanding

It's not just that. Clemson has four 9 win seasons since 2000, two more seasons with 8 wins, and no seasons below .500 in that stretch... in contrast South Carolina has one 9 win season, two 8 win seasons, and a couple season below .500 since 2000
Plus South Carolina has gotten better in the last decade whereas Clemson has treaded water or gotten worse over the last 2-3 decades
All that combined with the head to head record just screams Clemson is the major program in South Carolina and South Carolina is the little brother/sister program
And I don't have anything against USCe... that's just what their performance merits

That's okay. Our compliance department is run by fools, too.
As for Florida...it's likely no big deal, but it may just open up the NCAA to keep an eye out--so to speak.
