I feel bad for Forrester's missed 3 ft putt on 17. That would have given him his match. I grew up with his father and I'm sure their hurting. Congrats to the Gators. SEC tournament champs and national champs. Impressive in such a competitive field.

But yeah, it feels good to win something again.

As it should. As someone who played a lot of junior golf as a kid and had friends who played college golf at both Alabama and Auburn and has a good friend whose son now plays on the Alabama golf team, I follow college golf closely. I also have an older brother who played golf om scholarship at Alabama. It was awesome watching Alabama wim men's golf national titles in 2013 and 2014 after finishing 2nd to Texas in 2012.

I know a lot of us here like to joke about fans getting excited or bragging about their school winning a national title in a non "Big 3" sport like gymnastics, softball, or men's and women's golf or tennis, etc but it's a hell of an accomplishment when your school wins a national title in any sport (with tbe possible exception of equestrian) so no need to apologize for being excited about Florida winning a national title in men's golf.

P.S. I singled out equestrian because there are only about 15 schools that actually compete in the "sport". That and the fact that it's the one sport that doesn't relies primarily on an animal instead of a human to compete.

Congrats on Florida's 5th national golf championship.

For you, this moment is only surpassed by finally getting Will Wade.

They should give the Gators the ACC championship trophy too. The whole finals field was from the ACC except for UF and Ill. It was sweet beating the semenholes in the semifinals.

Congratulations, Gators! You've now become a ping-pong-ball-hit-with-a-long-stick school!

Thank goodness. Maybe you can now give the world of pro golf someone besides the obnoxious Billy Horschel. All mouth and no game.
